The call comes after more than 380 people wrote submissions to the council urging it to extend the one-hour free parking at the Lichfield St and Art Gallery car parks beyond June 30. Another 95 are against it and about 30 have some concerns.

Motorists are asked to avoid Addington and detour through Curletts Road where possible. Food and drink residue can contaminate recyclable material and make the job really unpleasant for our recycling operators. A quick rinse before placing in the yellow bin is really appreciated!
