Intrepid cockatoo's two-week adventure around Christchurch suburb
The first frantic post appeared on the Bishopdale Facebook page on December 27.
“Please HELP me get my bubba back..has flown out of his cage..he not handtame and is bald on his stomach..he is my rescue bird..I'm absolutely devastated..want him back..”
With these distraught words, Christchurch woman Sharon Millen launched a saga that would grip the 5000-plus members of the Facebook page for days and galvanise a community.
