Friday Funday is a social / free-play group for children held at Belfast Playcentre, Main North Road, Christchurch - ages ranging from 0 to about 13. Friday mornings from 9.30am until about 12.30. The Playcentre is located by Sheldon Park, which has a fun jungle gym and skate ramp. Children can play indoors and out, and enjoy themselves while parents run activities, supervise play opportunities and socialize with other parents. Aimed predominantly at those people in the Northern parts of Christchurch and Canterbury, all are welcome. There is a per-family fee of $5 per session to cover the cost of the Playcentre and the resources that we use. We are required to clean up the centre after our session so that it is ready for the next group.
