Waimairi Beach Bash

Waimairi Beach Golf Club Inc

Welcome to the inaugural "Waimairi Beach Bash" Long Drive Competition and Family Gala.
Long Drive Golf has emerged as one of the world's most popular golf formats and we're bringing it to Christchurch!
It's time to flex your summer muscles and give it a BASH!!
We have thousands of dollars of prizes up for grabs. Lucky Spot and Straightest Drive prizes will be on our playing grid so you don't need to be hitting the long ball to walk away with something fantastic on the day.
If you're not a golfer entry is FREE. There will be a BBQ, a bouncy castle and games for the kids and the opportunity to watch some massively long hitters smash golf balls into the stratosphere!
UPDATE: We're thrilled to announce that DimensionX will be at the course on the afternoon of The Beach Bash. Dimension X is a multi-dimensional sensory experience that your kids will love. Bring them down on the day!

Want to give it a Bash? Entries are limited and open NOW!
$20.00 for 6 balls. Grades for Men & Women, Open, Masters (45+) and Junior (U14). You can enter online by clicking this link: www.eventbrite.com...

Poll: Should we ditch daylight saving? 🕰️

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

First introduced in New Zealand in 1927 with the passing of the Summer Time Act, it's what we know as 'Daylight Saving' and this year it ends on the first Sunday in April.

While we do get to sleep in this time around, some people would like to scrap the clock tinkering for good.

And why? Some evidence suggests the time changes are bad for our health as they mess with sleep patterns leading to short-term fatigue and affecting mood. Meanwhile the hour change is frustrating for farmers and a nightmare for getting the littlies to sleep. But what's your take?
