Joanna from Westmere

Hi everyone,
I have hard copies of my book The Inside Hustle available for a lock down neighbour special of $29.99 (RRP $34.99) and FREE contactless delivery. Men & women have been equally loving this book!

Reviews:

"Have just finished this superb book. As an ex travelling man I related perfectly to the life Walden leads. Highly recommend." Robert

"What a perfect pandemic read! It was exactly what I needed to hear when I needed to hear it the most. The author took me on a fantastic journey through the world and into the soul. I laughed, I cried, and then I laughed some more. Joanna's brutally honest description of searching for that "something", only to be left feeling empty beautifully put into words what I've been feeling forever. Love, love, LOVE!" KatieBro

"Jo's personal journey really resonated with me. I thoroughly enjoyed this read and I laughed out loud and cried tears throughout. It is an easy holiday read and can be read just as a travel book alhough I got hugely more out of it than that. It was an emotional and fun journey. A must read that I thoroughly recommend." Paul

"A perfect read in these strange times. Joanna’s book was the perfect unputdownable escape from lockdown life. Not only does she tell a fantastic story of her travels and experiences that makes for an entertaining read but she ponders a lot of questions about our life’s and purpose in a refreshing and honest style. Perfect book for self reflection on our own path and how we may wish to live more connected to the magic of nature once we are out." Caro

"Brilliant! A tour de force! A beautiful journey to find herself where Joanna takes you on an intimate, honest and also hilarious search that touches you in a very special way. A must read in these uncertain times." Akio

"Wow just Wow! I loved every minute of this wonderful book. No holds barred as Joanna takes you through her spiritual & personal journey from 9/11 New York to the Camino in Spain & everything in between. Written with such a refreshing & quirky outlook, so raw at times, and spellbinding throughout. There are certainly no dull moments in both the content & her magical writing style. Left me thirsting for more at every page, and the revelations I felt at the end were personally emotional for me. A must read for anyone looking for the deeper meaning in all of our life’s journeys in so many ways. I look forward to a follow up." Jackie

Scam Alert: Bank cold calls

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

ASB is warning customers about reports of cold calls from scammers claiming to be from ASB. These scammers are trying to obtain personal information, including usernames, dates of birth, and verification codes sent to your mobile phone.

🛡️ The "Caller Check" Test
If you get a call from someone claiming to be from ASB and you’re unsure, just ask them for a Caller Check. You will then be able to verify the call through the app.

Remember, banks will:
❌ Never ask for your banking passwords, PINs, or verification codes
❌ Never need to know your full credit card number – especially the CVC
❌ Never ask you to download software or remotely access your device
❌ Never ask you to purchase gift cards or transfer funds.

If you have received a phone call and think your account has been compromised, call ASB on 0800 ASB FRAUD (0800 272 372), or visit your local branch.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

DOC is rolling out a new tool to help figure out what to tackle first when it comes to protecting our threatened species and the things putting them at risk.

Why does this matter? As Nikki Macdonald from The Post points out, we’re a country with around 4,400 threatened species. With limited time and funding, conservation has always meant making tough calls about what gets attention first.

For the first time, DOC has put real numbers around what it would take to do everything needed to properly safeguard our unique natural environment. The new BioInvest tool shows the scale of the challenge: 310,177 actions across 28,007 sites.

Now that we can see the full picture, it brings the big question into focus: how much do we, as Kiwis, truly value protecting nature — and what are we prepared to invest to make it happen?

We hope this brings a smile!
