A climate Change Movie - but a happy one!!

Yolande from Mount Albert

I just want to do a shout out to really well made and inspiring MOVIE on climate change. "Towards 2040" by Damon Gameau. It's easy to watch, and in some ways it's a love story.

I've seen it twice and it makes me feel proactive, empowered and hopeful. I know there need to be local solutions to local problems, but we all benefit from looking, learning and talking...

The website 'what'syour2040' has webinars every Sunday on global climate issues, as well as stories, people to support, and ways to get involved.

Some of the solutions are Australian based, as Damon is Australian so it will be great to learn all our NZ initiatives currently operating or beginning.

The movie is showing still at the Rialto and Academy, and in Devonport, but probably not for too long.

Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? 🛻🚨🚓

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?

What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?

Denim, but make it one-of-a-kind 💙

The Team from SPCA Auckland - Centres & Op Shops

Not every pair of jeans makes it to the rack... but that doesn’t mean their story ends there. Our talented volunteer Annie has been transforming damaged denim into handcrafted bags, hats and aprons in our Onehunga SPCA Op Shop ✂️🧵

This latest batch even features her own hand-sewn designs, and customers have been loving them, they sell almost as soon as they hit the shelf!

It’s creativity, sustainability and community all stitched together, helping animals in need 🐾
