Arrowsmith program presentation this Thursday

Yanina from Glendowie

Are you or your kids struggling with dyslexia, dyspraxia, auditory processing issues or other learning difficulties? If so, you may be interested in attending the Arrowsmith program presentation happening this Thursday 11th of August in St Heliers. Our son has attended this program for a few years now and we have seen very significant improvements in his learning abilities.

More information from the event website:

WOULD YOU LIKE TO IMPROVE YOUR BRAIN'S ABILITY TO LEARN SO YOU CAN THINK BETTER AND REMEMBER MORE?

Pip Block, Principal of A1 Student School, is hosting an information evening for the Arrowsmith Program at 7pm on Thursday 11th August 2022 aimed at students who are struggling at school, their parents, SENCOs and teachers who would like to learn more.
A1 Student supports parents and mainstream schools wishing to help students aged from seven to adult improve their learning including those with Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, Auditory Processing weakness, Working Memory weakness, ADHD or mild ASD and our individual approach addresses the root cause of the learning challenge and students experience success quickly and permanently so that once benchmarks are reached, the student returns to mainstream classes as independent learners.
Although we are best known for our intervention programs, we also help mainstream college students increase their memory and processing resulting in much better grades with our after-school program, Springboard to NCEA™
Seating is limited so reserve your tickets and find out how we can help you achieve more.

Q&A: Animal Welfare with SPCA's Dr Corey Regnerus-Kell

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

We're back with a Neighbourly Q&A session. This time with Dr Corey Regnerus-Kell who is a qualified veterinarian and SPCA’s General Manager Animal Services.

A little bit about Corey:
Corey has an interest in veterinary medicine, animal welfare, and biosecurity. He shares his home with ostriches, guinea pigs, bees, a rescue tortoiseshell named Lynk, a ragdoll named Oscar, two mini foxies called Chester and Maya and a black Labrador named Bonnie.

Dr Corey Regnerus-Kell is excited to answer your questions on all things animal welfare, whether it's how to best look after your new pet, how to combat separation anxiety or how to report neglect. ↓ Share your questions below and he will answer them on Wednesday 31st July ↓

Poll: Should you ask before planting tall shrubs/trees near your property line?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

It may be fine now but in a few years trees can block out light or views for neighbours.

Do you think neighbours should ask before they go ahead and plant these?

Let's get social

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Tell us what groups you'd like to see in your area...(walking groups, coffee meet-ups, swing dancing, a family tree group - anything at all!)

Or if you are already in a great group, share it here for others to get involved.
