Kate Hannah is the Director of The Disinformation Project Aotearoa, which has studied misinformation and disinformation since 2020. She will discuss the role of the internet in information disorders, dangerous speech, and hate speech, with specific interest in the role of and impacts of misogyny, racism, and white supremacism in socio-political discourses.

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
