Dogs at Beaches & Conservancies
Dear dog owners,
Please remember to keep your fur babies on a leash while walking at the beach or within a Conservancy. Your dog may be perfectly well-behaved off-leash, but another dog it may encounter, not so much. There are also other people/kids walking in these areas who are not comfortable around dogs (large or small); and if your dog is not on a leash this can be quite distressing for them.
Please remember that there are some with a phobia (Cynophobia), who would also like to enjoy the outdoors.
I do understand that there are places dogs are allowed to be off-leash but we still need to consider all living around us as we share the same spaces. :-)
Thank you for understanding.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
