Kittens - The sons of Brian

Heidi from Orakei

All the kittens have gone to wonderful new homes. Thank you for your interest.

Mr. Brian Ford turned up about a year ago & gave us the privilege of feeding him twice a day. Every AM with a hiss hello, he started his day with a hearty breakfast & ended it with an equally delicious meal. 2 mths ago, he turned up sick after getting in a fight, I trapped him, took him to vet, he got snipped & we tamed him somewhat. We can pat him, & hold him as well as feed him - progress!

I canvassed the neighborhood to see if he belonged to someone (he didn't) but we found out he fathered 4 kittens across the street. One even has a bobtail just like him. My husband calls them the Sons of Brian (even tho two are girls :)...

These beautiful Kittens are clean and healthy. They will be vet checked and have their first vaccine and a microchip. We are asking for a $70 contribution to cover this.

We also want to ensure all the kittens get fixed when they get to 4 months at Great South Vets. The cost will be $29 for males, $49 for females so we require your commitment to this.

If you would like to add a little furball to the family please let me know and I can send you a questionaire. Cat's are a 15-year commitment so we ask that you think carefully before deciding.

Pic 1 - GIRL - Aurora
Has an orange star on her forehead & big blue-green eyes so we named her after the Roman goddess of sunrise. Quiet and reserved.

Pic 2 BOY - Sirius
Sirius is the biggest of the four. He loves his food & has beautiful black &cream colouring with gorgeous greyish eyes

PIC 3 BOY- Brian
Named after his father, Brian is grey & cream. He's a lovely boy that is active, but happy to sit next to you & be patted.

Pic 4 & 5 GIRL - Pixie
Beautiful Pixie has four white paws/legs & a sweet little bobtail~! She has the best personality &happily pings from one place to the next as fast as she can then suddenly passes out just as fast.

They are litter trained and are eating Purina One Kitten food.

You of course can name the kittens as you wish :)

Price: $70

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Reserve Bank has shared some pretty blunt advice: there’s no such thing as a “safe” job anymore 🛟😑

Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.

We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

Carpet inspection needed

Karen from Saint Johns

Hi
I've just had new carpet laid throughout my house. I'm not happy with the result, as pieces don't match where they should, and in a hallway there are 5 joins where should not have been more than two. The supplier says there's nothing wrong. I would like a professional carpet person to look at it for an independent assessment. Does anyone know of someone who could do this?

Poll: Should complete designs be shared with the public, or should the community help shape the designs from the start?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Post recently shared an opinion piece on the Harbour Crossing and why a more democratic approach might be needed 🚗🚲👟

While most decisions sit within the political arena, many organisations—like NZTA—manage long-term projects that go beyond party lines. Politics can sometimes disrupt progress, and the next Harbour Crossing is a big decision that will affect all Aucklanders.

We’d love your thoughts: Should near-complete, shovel-ready designs be shared with the public, or should the community have a hand in shaping the designs from the start?
