Traffic effects of Elstree Ave closure northbound
Those of you affected by the closure of Elstree Ave northbound will be interested to learn that the traffic impacts of the diversion through Glen Innes shops were barely considered in the consent process for the works - a sewer upgrade for Watercare. An Integrated Transport Assessment was prepared with the only mention in there being “that there is likely to be suitable available capacity throughout the day to accommodate any short term rise in traffic that will occur as a result of the diversion.” Curiously another part of the quoted paragraph says another report section contains traffic counts for Line Rd and Apirana Ave, but this section doesn’t even mention these roads.
Happy Tuesday neighbours, here's a riddle to get your mind going.
I am beautiful, up in the sky.
I am magical, yet I cannot fly.
To some I bring luck, and to some, I bring riches.
The boy at my end does whatever he wishes.
What am I?
