2023 local body elections
I just finished viewing two campaign videos from Genevieve Sage. One of these finished with Sage straight down the lens imploring for votes to end 10 years of power by the dastardly or something Labour Party. After the laughter died down we quickly decided Sage had already achieved this goal before and our opposition to her candidacy will remain the same.
At the 2023 local body elections Sage stood for Waitemata Local board under the C&R Banner and after gaining the 4th highest tally for C&R it was still enough to give them power in Waitemata for the first time and ending 8 years of power by Labour.
That was until Sage conspired with The Northey led City Vision bloc and gained the chairmanship of the Waitemata Board along with it's wage and Usurping victory from the democratically elected C&R Waitemata.
We ask any voter in this electorate If you can get up and say, I believe Genevieve Sage is a worthy candidate for Public Office and can be trusted to keep the interests of the electorate ahead of her own.
We didn't get the answers we wanted 2 years ago but funnily enough we knew there would come a time for an informed electorate to decide at the ballot box.
Before it starts, Me I'm a life long Unionist that pays his dues to the Labour Party in retirement. Others the opposite but they can speak for themselves.. This is not about politics it's about corrupting our system by accepting the corruption.
Shall we vote on it...
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
59.1% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
25.2% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
15.7% ... It is complicated
A Neighbourly Riddle! Don’t Overthink It… Or Do?😜

If you multiply this number by any other number, the answer will always be the same. What number is this?
Night-time chipsealing works on SH2
From 9 to 17 February, stop/go traffic management will be in place on SH2 between McPherson Road and Dimmock Road on multiple nights between 9pm and 5am (Sundays to Thursdays).
During the day, all lanes will be open, but speed restrictions will apply to allow the chipseal to set and to protect vehicles travelling over the newly laid surface.
There may be delays to your journey when travelling through the area. This is weather dependent so check NZTA Journey Planner before you travel.
