Summer netball for everyone!

Marketing Manager from Auckland Netball Centre

Looking for a way to keep fit, have fun, and stay social this Summer?

We are excited to be expanding our Summer League for Term 4 to include Year 1&2 Junior Netball and Senior Walking Netball, as well as our existing Year 3-8 Junior Netball, College and Senior Netball (adult) grades.

Walking Netball is a modified form of the game with no running or jumping so it's perfect for those returning to exercise after a break or injury.

This term we are also trialling a new 'Open' grade with no restrictions on gender balance within teams to replace our College Mixed and Senior Mixed grades. You just need 7 players to make up an Open team.

More details below:

- 8-week league from 23/24 October to 11/12 December
- Wednesday afternoons/evenings @ Windmill Park Mount Eden
- Thursday afternoons/evenings @ St Johns
- Team and individual entry available for all grades

Poll: 🤖 What skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Reserve Bank has shared some pretty blunt advice: there’s no such thing as a “safe” job anymore 🛟😑

Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.

We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

Carpet inspection needed

Karen from Saint Johns

Hi
I've just had new carpet laid throughout my house. I'm not happy with the result, as pieces don't match where they should, and in a hallway there are 5 joins where should not have been more than two. The supplier says there's nothing wrong. I would like a professional carpet person to look at it for an independent assessment. Does anyone know of someone who could do this?

Poll: Should complete designs be shared with the public, or should the community help shape the designs from the start?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Post recently shared an opinion piece on the Harbour Crossing and why a more democratic approach might be needed 🚗🚲👟

While most decisions sit within the political arena, many organisations—like NZTA—manage long-term projects that go beyond party lines. Politics can sometimes disrupt progress, and the next Harbour Crossing is a big decision that will affect all Aucklanders.

We’d love your thoughts: Should near-complete, shovel-ready designs be shared with the public, or should the community have a hand in shaping the designs from the start?
