Overgrown footpaths and verges in Remuera
Why is it acceptable for a hedge to grow over a footpath, in many cases 50% or more of path is used. Why not keep the verges mowed, clean and tidy?
Why not remove leaves from the curbs and curb drain. It the rainwater misses your drain, it travels to the next one. How would you like to receive it at your place at the bottom of the many hills around Remuera.
Are you a NIMBY?
When I lived in the country we looked after the verges, commonly called the long acre, sprayed the weeds etc.
Council - pay attention: this could be an income earner. All verges, curbs, footpaths should be cleared and tidy by the section owner.
Council works on parks and reserves, not in front of our houses.
Please Be proud of your ‘road frontage’.
