We are looking for a friendly and confident mentor, to support an autistic teenager on his quest for adventure. While he doesnβt talk much, he has the personal care skills to look after himself, but he needs someone to help him navigate the complexity of other people.
If you are an enthusiastic person, who loves to join in the fun, this job is for you! You need to be; able to swim, happy to jump on the trampoline and keen to plan a new adventure each week. You need a full licence and your own car to make the adventures possible from his home in New Lynn.
We are hoping to find someone two afternoons a week and one visit in the weekends - about 2-3 hours per visit. A total of about 7 hours per week. If you can do extra hours in the school holidays that would be amazing.

Auckland Harbour Bridge summer works
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is carrying out essential maintenance on the Auckland Harbour Bridge this December and January. The southbound clip-on lanes will be closed (24/7) from 26 December to 5 January for road resurfacing. Night-time lane restrictions will be in place throughout the summer for recoating work on the bridge. Traffic will still be able to travel in both directions at all times.
