Thomas Hardy research photos
I have a collection of good quality black and white (mostly) photos & post-cards of paintings & schools of art that influenced Thomas Hardy's writing. He loved art and painted himself. He referred to many Victorian and other paintings in his novels. I collected these images when writing my PhD 'From the Eccentric to the Essential: a study of Hardy's imagery and his debt to the visual arts.'
I'm downsizing and it seems a shame to throw out this valuable material. It took 2 years and a trip to Europe to collect.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
