What should happen to the exotic trees on Ōwairaka/Mt Albert?
Kia ora neighbours, protesters have vowed to occupy Ōwairaka/Mt Albert 24/7 to block the planned removal of exotic trees.
The plan to cut down 345 non-natives is part of the Tūpuna Maunga Authority's restoration project, which will see 13,000 natives planted on the maunga.
But local residents are concerned about the mass felling and say they weren't adequately consulted.
What do you think of the plan and the protesters' actions?
