Waiting at the traffic light
For it to turn to green
I’m late for work by fifteen minutes

Standing in the supermarket
With frozen ice for the drinks
It starts to melt and trickle down

Get out the door and into the car
I hear my voice scream
The children will be late for school again

The jeans that take forever to dry
And hanging on the line
The weather has changed from fine to rain
And it matters a lot to me
My cellphone won’t work
And I can’t ring to say goodbye
As you wait expectantly at the airport
And it matters a lot me
The Amazon is burning
Floods claim baron lands
Animal extinction is counted daily
And it matters a lot to me
So I put to you just one intention
Spend every day like a fortune
For time is a precious commodity
And it matters a lot to me
