Women tend to make more trips with multiple purposes, as they may have more responsibilities and tasks to accomplish once they leave the house. However, many urban areas are not designed to accommodate women and girls’ needs and preferences, and expose them to various risks and challenges. As a consequence, women and girls face unwelcome, unsafe and stressful situations in their daily travels.

In 2018, Women in Urbanism Aotearoa conducted a survey of women and found that more than 75% of them had experienced harassment while using public transport, walking or cycling. This is unacceptable.

Women in Urbanism Aotearoa and Arup invites women and girls to share their stories and perspectives on how they feel and what they encounter when they move around their city.

Take their survey today by visiting womeninurbanism.co.nz.... Including your voice in this survey will help raise awareness of issues in our urban spaces and make our cities safer for all. Survey closes at midnight on Friday 16 February.

Hey neighbors! Quick shoutout from Newmarket. So, on the bus recently, and guess what? Bus lanes turned into a mini parking lot for some cars playing hide and seek! 🚌 Classic move, right?

Now, onto these traffic lights. That stretch is something else – 8 sets in a row, spread across 500m of road. Your car practically gets a green light workout before budging an inch!

But let's shift gears. How's everyone else finding the traffic flow in your area?

I will be available to have him part time, if that suits you. I would like him to find a very loving small family that will adore him. He is ok with cats, but he is very little, maybe 3kgs. He is very special. He will have to live near my home, because I do need to make sure Louie is well. I would like to stay in touch. Thank you

🧀 Hold up! Countdown's 500g cheese is playing tricks on your wallet – it's 54% pricier per kilo compared to the 1kg block! What's the story behind this cheesy surprise?

Jack Neighbourly Lead from Ponsonby

Why in the cheese world would anyone go for those 500g blocks? Countdown's pricing has me scratching my head, and it feels like I'm caught up in a cheesy conundrum. 🧀 Are they targeting those who aren't keen on math or those who can't swing the 1kg block that day?

Why in the cheese world would anyone go for those 500g blocks? Countdown's pricing has me scratching my head, and it feels like I'm caught up in a cheesy conundrum. 🧀 Are they targeting those who aren't keen on math or those who can't swing the 1kg block that day?

Someone at Countdown decided to give that 500g budget cheese block a significant price bump. I'm asking politely – who's behind this? Who thought it was a good idea to raise the price by 54% when slicing the cheese? 🤔

Now, let's break it down:

1kg block = $11.29 per kg
500g block = $17.40 per kg ... a whopping 54% more expensive per kg.
For just $2.59 more, you could snag an extra 500g of cheese with the 1kg block! That's the difference. You're only saving $2.59 with the 500g block but paying way more per kilo. 💸

I know there are bigger things happening in the world, but this pricing mystery has been on my mind. If you're into those 500g blocks, spill the cheese – what's your take? What's the real story here? 🧐
