Ethnic STEM Event Day 2025

Hye Won Lee (Diane) Lee from Korea-NZ Cultural Association

Ethnic STEM Event Day 2025 by the Korea-NZ Cultural Association in partnership with the Ministry of Education– What an Amazing Day for our future generation!
We want to thank everyone who made it special! From hands-on experiments and exciting STEM booths to vibrant K-pop performances and meaningful cultural connections, it was a day to remember.
A huge thank you to the Ministry of Education, Nazreen Shaban from the MOE, and our inspiring panelists who shared why STEM matters and encouraged the next generation of innovators. Their messages truly resonated with our students and guests—special thanks to all the performers, booth presenters, volunteers, and families who joined us. See you on 24th May at the more workshop for your next STEM competition on 26th July.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
