A petition is circulating to get curtains added as part of the Healthy Homes Standards in the hopes of helping renters avoid living in cold, damp conditions. Do you think curtains should be mandatory for New Zealand homes?

Type 'Not For Print' if you wish your comments to be excluded from the We Say You Say column of your local paper.

He/she actually came in through the cat door and into the kitchen while we were home ( normally it’s when we are out or at night into the laundry) to eat our cats food. The poor thing ran out when we called our cat but he didn’t run off completely which makes us think he/she either has a family somewhere or has maybe been lost or left behind. I put some food on the lawn to see if we could identify any injuries etc and try to take a pic. We got a couple of pretty bad ones - attached. Just hoping someone out there might recognise him/her. One of the pics is clear enough to zoom in on. 👍🏻 we are at the back of the golf course on Panapa Drive.

Kia ora Neighbours!

I have been studying Psychology and Māori Studies at the University of Otago for the past three and a half years and am returning home at the end of this month for around three to four weeks. I am looking for some temporary work while I am home and am able to do anything. I have over three years of experience as a nanny, as well as experience as a cafe and restaurant waitress, cleaner, gardener and much more.

Please let me know if you have any work available from the period of middle of June to middle of July!

Many thanks,
Louise
