Please stop cutting down trees
To all residents of South Auckland PLEASE stop cutting down trees! We and the planet need every tree available to help fight climate change. And there is nothing better than to sit under a tree and watch the world go by . And also the trees are so important to our biodiversity survival. Bit by bit all our big beautiful trees are being cut down . A tree of that size takes a life time to grow and people are cutting the tree down in seconds. This should not be allowed.
The old Grey homestead in St George Street Papatoetoe surrounding trees and bush were totally destroyed including a massive tree that had a trunk the size of a small car. I realize we need homes but PLEASE try to build around the trees . Really by keeping the trees enhances the property and adds value.

Whether it’s a courgette takeover or a feijoa frenzy, don’t let those garden gems go to waste!
Our suggestion to you: Did you know you can grate and freeze excess courgettes to use in chocolate cake later? It sounds a bit dodgy, but it makes the cake incredibly moist ... and hey, it counts as a serving of veg, right? 🍫

We want to know: How are you handling the "coffee math" in 2026? Are you still heading to your local for a chat and a caffeine fix, or has the cost of living changed your habits?
