Hello everyone, my name is Yana I’m originally from Bali. I’ve been living and working in the area for 7+ years now. I was known as Tiwi and I was a professional massage therapist/ beautician working in one of the finest establishments in St Heliers.
Now I have Ocean Bali Spa at 287E St Heliers Bay Road and have been enjoying being part of this vibrant and supportive local community. It has been so rewarding to meet and help so many people with their aches and pains or just enabling them to enjoy a relaxing massage or rejuvenating facial.

Scam Alert: Bank cold calls
ASB is warning customers about reports of cold calls from scammers claiming to be from ASB. These scammers are trying to obtain personal information, including usernames, dates of birth, and verification codes sent to your mobile phone.
🛡️ The "Caller Check" Test
If you get a call from someone claiming to be from ASB and you’re unsure, just ask them for a Caller Check. You will then be able to verify the call through the app.
Remember, banks will:
❌ Never ask for your banking passwords, PINs, or verification codes
❌ Never need to know your full credit card number – especially the CVC
❌ Never ask you to download software or remotely access your device
❌ Never ask you to purchase gift cards or transfer funds.

What if we could rent out our empty driveways like Airbnb?
It’s crazy when you think about it. All these new apartments going up around us with barely any parking, yet I bet plenty of us have got empty driveways or garages just sitting there unused during the day. Feels like we're missing a real opportunity as a community.
Someone really needs to make an 'Airbnb for parking' so people with spare space could help out those who are circling the block for an hour. If that existed, would you actually use it to rent out your own driveway? Or if you're someone who struggles with parking, would you use it?
Genuinely curious what the neighbourhood thinks.
