Self Care Sundays #4 - Sleep

Talia Scarborough from The New Think

Kia ora Neighbours!

✨It's that time...✨
This week’s self care topic is SLEEP.
Now, this is a HUGE topic to unpack so I’m going to barely scratch the surface here but I am going to try to bridge the gap between what the research tells us and some of our more prominent societal attitudes towards sleep:

1. Sleep is not like money – you can’t spend the week in a sleep-deficit and try to catch up on the weekend.

2. A lot of the way our social and work lives are structured doesn’t give getting enough sleep the priority it deserves.

3. Caffeine & alcohol can affect the QUALITY of our sleep.
