Here's a great dish to make the most of asparagus when they're at their best.

Serves 4
Ingredients
20 Asparagus, spears (5-6 asparagus spears per person)
½ tsp Sugar
½ tsp Salt
½ cup Mayonnaise
50 g Parmigiano cheese, grated

Directions

1. Snap off the asparagus ends or peel the last 2-3 centimetres.
2. Heat a pot of water to blanch the asparagus.
3. Add salt and sugar to the water — this helps heighten the green colour of the asparagus.
4. When water reaches a rolling boil, add the asparagus. Cover with a lid and cook for 3-4 minutes.
5. Drain in a sink with cold running water and ice if you have it.
6. Remove from the water when cool and drain and place on a serving plate.
7. Combine the parmigiano and mayonnaise and pour over the asparagus.
8. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and freshly ground black pepper and serve.

This house is a home not just another flat. We have super soft carpet under your feet and fully equipped with nice plates, matching glasses etc. We have Vodafone TV with Netflix, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, extraction fan, HIV system, Dyson hoover...fully furnished for a comfortable lifestyle.

The house is 4min walk from the beach as well the lake, from the cinema and 2 minutes walk from yoga, gym, all the shops and restaurants and take away and massage places. 1 min walk to the theatre. 3x supermarkets within 5 min drive and 2 petrol stations.

Motorway access is 5 min drive going North as well towards the city.
Ponsonby is 7min drive, Albany mall is 10.

Your room: Can come furnished with my King bed! Yes! Super comfy!!! Or you can have it unfurnished. The choice is yours.
It's the smaller room of the 2 but it's only 2 people in the house so you'll have the whole place really.

My flatmate (your flatmate) is awesome. We're living together for about 6 month. Easy going, respectful. You'll get on with him!

You must have a full time job, pay rent on time, be clean & tidy & easy going.

I'm the lease holder on the place and I'm going overseas for a bit but ideally don't want to give up on this amazing place nor thinking about moving before I leave.
Here is the deal. You can definitely stay a minimum of 3 month, might be even longer. I'm going to give you a month notice before I come back. I only purchased a one way ticket so you might be able to stay for 6 month or more.
I'm leaving on the 29th Nov, ideally like to stay here till then but happy to negotiate if you like to move in early Nov.

Believe me. Having summer at this place is the best!!!! You won't regret it!

Price: $310

Hi everyone,
We have setup a Give-a-little page to help fundraise for my daughter, to have a major surgery in America that will change her life.

Faith was diagnosed with Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, and she has been doing physiotherapy since she was a toddler. Although she worked so hard with physio and exercises every day, it is heart breaking to see Cerebral Palsy increasingly affecting her whole body as she grew older.

This major surgery is called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR)

The SDR will reduce her spasticity, allowing her to have a better control of her body, to reduce her pain and help her gaining abilities to be more independent in moving from one position to another.

SDR will not cure Cerebral Palsy, but it will give her huge chance to have a better quality of life.

Because this surgery is not funded by the NZ government, we aim to raise $150,000 in total. The cost will cover the surgery, the intensive physiotherapy that she need immediately after, plus accommodation and flights.

Please read her story, please share her story,
and please, please donate to help us change Faith’s life. We thank you and forever grateful from the bottom of our hearts.

God bless you.
Yours sincerely,
Jessica, John, Faith and Nathan

Grab a torch and join our adventurers and suffer a sailor’s life on-board, as we navigate the southern oceans with Cook and company.

It’s going to be all hands on deck as you learn how to behave in His Majesty’s Royal Navy – avoid the dreaded cat o’ nine tails and sample some delightful 18th century naval food. Mmmm, pease porridge, anyone?

Discover stories and traditions of tangata whenua as encountered by that first bewildered bunch of seafarers. And how do you communicate if you don’t speak the same language? Try to dodge muddles and mix-ups once we reach the Pacific.
