Three projects to upgrade the city centre street have been rolled into one and will be completed over the next 12 months.
A key change is wider footpaths, that will be shared by people on feet and wheels.
The path closest to shops is for slower moving pedestrians, while the side closest to the street is for bikes, scooters and people moving quickly on foot.
Changes in paving texture, planting, street furniture will separate the two paths.
General parking on Queen Street will be removed, but space has been designated for loading zones along the street.
Between Wellesley and Wakefield Streets there will be two lanes in each direction reserved for buses, motorcycles, delivery and emergency vehicles, cyclists and scooters. Private vehicles will not be allowed here.
What do you think of the planned makeover of Queen Street?

I have heaps of milano fennel( like florence fennel) and giant red mustard seeds to give away. They are both easy to grow. Let me know if you would like some and I can leave them in my letter box, now if you are strolling by, or after lockdown.
