Do you enjoy solitude and reflection?
Do people tell you you’re a "good listener"?
Do you find small talk draining?
But enjoy deep meaningful conversations with close friends?
If so, you may be an introvert!

1 out of every 2 people is introverted so chances are, you are one or you're the partner/parent/sibling/friend/coworker of one (so this is relevant to you too!)

WHAT's in this workshop:
1. Intro to the psychological concepts of introversion and extroversion
2. Unpacking the extrovert ideal (and how this impacts introverts)
3. Empowering and practical tips on how to thrive as an introvert
4. Food for thought: little introverts and the education system

WHY attend this workshop?
We live in a society that is biased towards extroverted needs. As a result, introverts often find themselves feeling overtaxed, overwhelmed, or critical of their capabilities. This workshop is all about shedding light on the differences between extrovert and introvert personalities; giving you the info and tips to tailor your self-care and social interactions to suit your personality, and learn how to thrive as an introvert!

An artwork created during lockdown, featuring a miniaturised snapshot of the 1pm conferences Kiwis have become so familiar with, is selling online.

Mt Albert artist Jesse James created “The Bubble” to support those in need and will donate all the proceeds of the auction to the mental health charity I AM HOPE.

“We’re all living in our own little bubbles, so I feel like having these little characters inside a bottle symbolises this,” he said.

“With us being in lockdown, people’s mental health just gets way worse, and they feel like they don’t have anyone to reach out to.”

The piece is currently displayed at the Turua Gallery in St Heliers. It features Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and Ashley Bloomfield delivering the 1pm press conference, encapsulated in a glass bottle.

The auction closes on September 26.

Bus stops are being renamed after landmarks to make it simpler and easier to travel around Auckland.

Auckland Transport (AT) will update all bus stop names from this Wednesday on digital platforms including AT Mobile and Journey Planner.

One example is 117 Hill Road bus stop will be now called Botanic Gardens bus stop.

New names will reflect landmarks including schools, parks, churches, tourist locations, hospitals, transport interchanges and major intersections.

This follows international public transport best practice, with London, Paris, Madrid and Melbourne all using name-based stops.

AT also confirmed later this year audio announcements will be introduced across buses with announcements in te reo Māori and English.
