Kingsland cycle path dog incident
Hi community. I am a regular jogger on the cycle/pedestrian path from Eden Terrace to Kingsland.
A woman walks a beagle dog on this path, and has had difficulty controlling it as I have run past previously.
Today, the Beagle jumped up and bit me on the hip. She had 2 young children with her.
She said sorry, however this is the second time the dog has bitten me. When I looked for her she had left the cycle path between Alexander St and Bright St. This incident happened around 4.17pm.
Please, if you know this woman, suggest she keep the dog off this cycle/pedestrian path. Also, suggest the Beagle has a restraint so that it cannot bite should it make contact with a pedestrian.
Attached is a photo of the dog bite.
Thank you

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
