Poll: Do you support temporary alcohol bans at Auckland concerts?

Caryn Wilkinson Reporter from Community News

Hi Auckland neighbours,

Check out this story by Ripu Bhatia:

Police are seeking an alcohol ban in a bid to prevent possible incidents of disorder near an upcoming music festival featuring Benee and Fat Freddy's Drop.

Auckland City District Police senior sergeant Geoff Medland wrote to Auckland Council chief executive officer Jim Stabback on January 21 requesting the ban, which would apply to areas surrounding the venue, rather than at the venue itself.

New library assistant springs into action

Caryn Wilkinson Reporter from Community News

Meet Spud, the new library assistant at Blockhouse Bay Intermediate School.

Easter came early to the school when the bunny appeared in the school gardens a few weeks ago.

Staff tracked down the owner who was moving house and asked if they could take care of the friendly fellow.

Spud is hoppily settling into his new role as the library bunny.
