Volcanic eruption forces Air NZ flight from Auckland to Japan to divert to Guam

Josephine Franks Reporter from Central Leader

A volcanic eruption has forced an Air New Zealand flight from Auckland to make an unscheduled stop in Guam.

The flight was en route to Narita, Japan, when Japan's Kuchinoerabujima volcano erupted. With the flight path changed to avoid volcanic ash, the plane had to stop in Guam to refuel.

Colour your world this February by taking part in the sixth Resene Hunger for Colour campaign! During the month of February you can swap a can of food for a 60-80ml testpot of Resene paint with all cans collected being donated to Salvation Army foodbanks.

Over the last five years, this campaign has seen Resene donate enough testpots to paint over 100,000 colourful square metres and generous Kiwis donate more than 190,000 cans.

We’d love to see the creations you make with your testpots – just message them to us here on Neighbourly for a chance to be featured!

You can swap a can of food for a Resene testpot in February. www.resene.co.nz...
Resene Colour Shops only. I have nothing to do with Resene - just thought it was a good idea. All food goes to needy people via food banks or Salvation Army.

I was cycling so not able to do much but moved it to front of a garage by 125, off the pavement but … View more
