Canterbury has been named the fifth most welcoming region in the world in the Booking.com Traveller Review Awards, while Oamaru, Hokitika and Invercargill have been named the most welcoming towns in NZ. They were followed by Cambridge, Picton, Lake Tekapo, Kerikeri, Palmerston North, Paihia and Twizel.

We moved into this renovated house in Gowing drive ,love the place until the heavy rains in October. Water filled a mysterious hole in the basement thereby causing the room next to it to get damp,damaging all my daughters stuff that she had stored in there. We notified the property manager. He sent in the plumbers to inspect the basement, which they did . According to the property manager there was a plug removed From the drain Up until today the room is still damp and mushy and nothing has been done a as yet! Any advice!!!
