A bouquet in a bottle!!!!!!!! 😃 I like it. 😃

Sharon from Te Atatu South

The flowers at the top are hollyhock, the smaller flowers in the middle and at the bottom are geraniums I pruned today when I was taking out the hollyhock bush to make way for more light for the roses. The vodka bottle I found in a Pak N Save parking lot a while ago. 😃 ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😃

Face masks are now gracing vending machines at transport stations around Auckland.

The masks feature in 42 machines at bus and rail stations along with ferry wharves.

Auckland Mayor Phil Goff has praised the initiative.

“The more simple and convenient we can make it to wear a mask, the greater the uptake will be," he said.

“This will mean passengers who may have lost or forgotten their mask can get one quickly and easily and avoid missing their journey."

AT has bought 1500 masks to go into into the machines.

Aucklanders can buy a pack of four masks for $9.

What do you think of the initiative?

Hi neighbours,

From March 1, it will cost rural communities more to fill up their water tanks.

The cost to fill a tanker with 10,000 litres of water will rise by about $25 from $13.86 to $39 (+GST).

It reflects the cost of providing water at filling stations- a service which has been heavily subsidised for many years, Watercare says.

The new charge comes into force during the summer peak to reduce pressure on rural and coastal communities.

For those of you in rural Auckland on tank water, what is your view on the increase?

And your reasons?
