Outdoor Fitness Bootcamps and Personal Training

Lauren from Glendowie

Hey everyone!

My name is Lauren and I am starting up some outdoor fitness bootcamps and individual or small group personal training sessions at Remuera Rackets Club in Auckland this week. I am also a qualified nutritionist with a BAppSci in Sport and Exercise nutrition from the university of Otago and I currently have spaces available to offer healthy nutrition and lifestyle advice to anyone that is interested.

The main purpose of the fitness bootcamps are to bring people back together and to provide a sense of community. I really want to provide people with the opportunity to meet new people and have fun while getting a good sweat going! I am also a huge advocate for the benefits that sports can have on overall mental health and wellbeing.

If you are interested I have a website which is www.reachcoachingnz.com... where you can also make bookings for all of the services that I provide.

The cost is $10 for club members and $15 for non-members.

I hope to see you there!!

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

DOC is rolling out a new tool to help figure out what to tackle first when it comes to protecting our threatened species and the things putting them at risk.

Why does this matter? As Nikki Macdonald from The Post points out, we’re a country with around 4,400 threatened species. With limited time and funding, conservation has always meant making tough calls about what gets attention first.

For the first time, DOC has put real numbers around what it would take to do everything needed to properly safeguard our unique natural environment. The new BioInvest tool shows the scale of the challenge: 310,177 actions across 28,007 sites.

Now that we can see the full picture, it brings the big question into focus: how much do we, as Kiwis, truly value protecting nature — and what are we prepared to invest to make it happen?

We hope this brings a smile!
