So far:
- Parliament has been suspended until further notice on the advice of Civil Defence.
- Make sure you check on your neighbours - even though there may have not been any damage near you, your neighbours may still need your help.

I used to go the Swanson Rd to get money out of the … View moreHi everyone, Matt here. I want to know everyone's opinion on this matter as well. I am a ANZ customer. Has anyone seen around the West Auckland area, especially around Swanson Area that there is no ANZ ATM machines anywhere to be seen. I used to go the Swanson Rd to get money out of the machine. Now when you go there, the machine is no longer available. Look I understand in years ahead, we all will live in a cashless society where everything you pay will now be done on a smartphone. But there I'm sure will be flaws with this as well.
The only viable ATM ANZ machines are on Lincoln Rd or in Henderson. This is just getting harder for anyone to get money out of any machine. Well if I mean ANZ are going to get rid of the ATM machines, they will have to put something in to replace the machines or put another pay wave machine for ordinary ATM cards as well.
Yes there are currently paywave machines in NZ. I think these are only for credit card and debit cards only I think but for the ordinary ATM cards, these won't work.
Are there other ANZ customers like myself who have had ATM issues just finding a ANZ ATM machine in your local area just to get cash out from your local machine?

- The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will visit Karanga Plaza in Wynyard Quarter for a stroll around 4pm on Tuesday.
- Wynyard Quarter will be closed to vehicles from 2pm on Tuesday afternoon. Roads would be reopened when crowds clear, Auckland Transport spokesman James Ireland said.
- If you are hoping to catch a glimpse of the couple, AT advised crowds to use public transport as parking in the area would be limited. Downtown, the Fanshawe Street car park or an open-air car park on Madden Street would be the closest options, it said.
- Normal timetables would operate on buses, trains and ferries but some buses would be diverted and stop closures would be in place, AT added. Buses including the 20 service, 75 service and CityLink service would experience detours. "Some delays can be expected," AT said. The bus stop at 63 Jellicoe Street would be closed and a temporary stop would be in place outside 55 Madden Street, AT said.
Other engagements planned for the royals on Tuesday include a 'welly-wanging' contest at Queen's Commonwealth Canopy on the North Shore between 11.45am and 12.45pm.
The couple will then head to Pillars, a charity that supports children with a parent in prison, with Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern. Following their stroll along the viaduct, the couple will attend a reception with Ardern held at the Auckland War Memorial Museum at 7pm. Read more here
