Family looking for a new house

Felipe from Parnell

Hi
We are a family looking for a home, preferably in Parnell, but we also consider neighbourhoods around.
We've lived in Parnell for two years, but we share a 3 bedroom unit with a friend. This friend is moving to Tauranga and so we will need to look for a smaller place for us, as the current cost of our rent will become unaffordable for us.
We are a couple with a 7 year old boy and a 2 month old baby girl. Our family is calm, we have lived in NZ for 3 years, we have stable jobs and we are looking for a nice place for our family. Preferably in Parnell so we can keep our son in school and not have to separate him from his friends. We are already looking at Trademe, but if anyone knows of any house, feel free to contact me.
Thanks

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Stolen Haro red mountain bike

Nadeesha from Epsom

My son’s red Haro mountain bike was stolen near Cornwall Park Avenue.
It was parked at our residence on 22nd January at around 8:00pm. We discovered it missing on 25th January at around 2:00pm.
If anyone living near Cornwall Park Avenue has CCTV footage between those dates and times, could you please check and let me know if you notice anything suspicious or see a red Haro mountain bike (photo attached)?
We would really appreciate any help. Please message me if you have any information.
Thank you so much.
