E-scooter operators Beam, Flamingo, Jump and Neuron have been successful gaining licences for the next six months, and will collectively be allowed 3200 e-scooters on the streets from December 3.
The e-scooters have self-braking abilities when going down hills and would not operate between 1am and 6am.

Due to an electrical fault, the Grey Lynn Paddling Pool will open for the summer season a week later than scheduled, now opening on Saturday 7 December 2019.
