Kia ora koutou
Yay for the rain today, you can almost see the garden flourish 🌱
Would you like to have freshly harvested "spray free, locally grown, organic* veggies"?
Did you know that produce that is not locally grown is typically 3-4 days old before it even gets to the supermarket? We typically harvest our veggies in the morning of your chosen pickup day which means it will be on your table later that same day. The time it takes for big agriculture to go from harvest to purchase impacts on the nutritional value and makes it less fresh and also speaks to unknown food miles, plus you won't know what 'sprays' have been used.
By purchasing a subscription with us you can take the guesswork out of all of those things and simply know where your food comes from and what it contains 💚. Your subscription also supports our gifting program of excess produce to Everybody Eats, Glen Innes Kindergarten and other people in need, which is an added bonus of your support.
Our Summer CSA subscription runs until the 28th March with weekly or fortnightly subscriptions available for either of the following options. Pick up days are Tuesday or Fridays from 10am.
1. Harvest box with small salad - $25
2. Greens - $15
3. Large salad - $10
If you would like to support us in other ways, you could become a "friend' of the garden. (any donation over $5 is eligible for a tax refund). We also have volunteer spaces available. We are a small friendly team and always pleased to welcome new people to our community.

Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? 🛻🚨🚓
In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?
What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?
-
35.4% The sting of a fine (Money talks!)
-
64.6% The threat of demerit points (Nobody wants to lose their license!)
RED CROSS ANNUAL APPEAL 2026!!
Hello Neighbours,
It is that time of the year again for our Red Cross Annual Appeal.
Held annually in March, the Red Cross Annual Appeal is New Zealand Red Cross’
largest fundraising campaign of the year. It helps us raise awareness, bring in vital
funds to support people affected by emergency and conflict, and help vulnerable
communities here at home, in the Pacific and around the world. As a charity, we
rely on donations to make our humanitarian programmes possible. We reach
thousands of people in need every year. Every dollar counts.
Across the country, Red Cross members, volunteers, and employees, as well as
community groups, workplaces, and passionate individuals all get behind Red
Cross fundraising efforts. People can fundraise for the Annual Appeal in a range of
ways – any year–round fundraising events can be held during the appeal
You are also welcome to come instore and make a kind donation to our friendly staff and volunteers at our shop located at 22-28 Jellicoe Road, Panmure and please visit our website www.redcross.org.nz... for further queries, on how to donate.
