Licensing Trust to vote on forgiving loans of $2.8 million

Allyson from Panmure

The Mt Wellington Licensing Trust scheduled meeting on September 28th was cancelled at approximately 7:10pm, when the public, which arrived at 6:15pm, were informed by a trustee, “the licensing trust was not set up for the public to attend this meeting so the meeting was cancelled”.

Now a closed online extraordinary meeting has been called with voting closing on Friday October 7th at 5pm, less than 24 hour before the Local Board Elections closes.

Check out the image Agenda item 3.3 and 3.4 - the forgiving of $ 2,860,218 Licensing Trust loans to the Trust Hotels.

This means the Trust Hotels, who run the Waipuna Hotel and Panmure Historic Hotel will not have to repay back these loans. Yes they disappear!!

Another great example of the current Licensing Trust disregard of this community’s democratic rights and the lack of transparency of what is happening.
Vote for the United Local for the Mount Wellington Licensing Trust

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?
