One model per assignment. This will be done at my home. Paying $30 per sitting which I expect will be 1-2 hours. Unlimited tea, coffee, beer, wine provided ( so long as over 18!). The makeup will range from every day looks to bridal and prom glam to overdone theatre and tv style makep to creative to special effects such as fantasy characters/fake wounds etc. I will need to photograph or video this, sometimes just the end result, sometimes the sitting itself, to be send on for my assignments to be assessed. Images will by necessity need to go to my tutor/school so need to be OK with this. Does not have to be the same person for all 10 sittings. A range of skin colours would be super! let me know if this sounds like a bit of fun for you!

Kia ora Auckland,

Should the proposed marina on Waiheke Island get the green light?

Construction on Waiheke Island's Kennedy Point marina is to continue after an out of court settlement was made between campaigners and developers.

Four years of court proceedings have been withdrawn by Save Kennedy Point (SKP), after Kennedy Point Boatharbour Limited said they would put the welfare of a little blue penguin colony front of mind.

As part of the settlement, the developers have agreed to forgo all recent costs orders made against SKP and to not seek further costs from them.

SKP was facing bills of almost $250,000 sought by the developers and Auckland Council.

In more recent developments, the group has announced they will hīkoi to Parliament to deliver a petition asking Environment Minister David Parker take the case back to the Environment Court.

The petition, which already has 8500 signatures, was started by Uri o Ngāri Pāoa, who are occupying the beach at Kennedy Point.

Kia ora koutou. A new bridge costing $685 million is to be built for walkers and cyclists crossing Auckland’s Waitematā Harbour.

It is hoped construction can begin mid-2022, in a plan unveiled just five days after cycling lobbyists broke through a police barrier and rode over the existing Harbour Bridge, demanding action.

Transport Minister Michael Wood said once begun, the new structure is expected to take five years to complete, and work will continue on interim use of existing harbour bridge lanes for cycling and walking.

“A stand-alone structure is the safest option that will not only provide a walking and cycling option for commuters but creates an outstanding piece of tourism infrastructure,” said Wood.

From The Panmure Community Action Group:

Two years after the removal of the historic Panmure sign from the old Panmure roundabout, the Maungakiekie-Tamaki Local Board says there has been no decision on its return. This has been the position of the Board and Auckland Transport since the decision was made to remove the sign more than five years ago.
When the sign was taken down in April 2019 to make way for the AMETI Eastern Busway, Auckland Transport tweeted: “Over the weekend, we said Ka kite anō to the Panmure sign which was carefully removed & placed in storage. The sign will return, refreshed at a new location later on”. However, since then, AT appear to have lined up a list of excuses for not bringing the sign back at all. It currently languishes in a Council depot in Meadowbank.

The reinstated Panmure sign was clearly on the original draft plans for the new intersection in December 2016 as presented as part of Auckland Transport's evidence to the Notice Of Requirement process in 2017 to get official approval for the next stage of the AMETI Busway project. In that evidence the AMETI planners made a big show of their intention to “Recognise the importance of the Panmure Roundabout in creating a sense of identity, and of the historic sign as an important landmark within the urban fabric”. Now, all trace of the Panmure Roundabout has disappeared and Auckland Transport are claiming that the Panmure sign does not meet the definition of 'historic heritage'.

They now claim that the December 2016 landscape plan as submitted to the 2017 NoR Hearings process was only ever an "aspirational document" and, after obtaining Resource Consent for the AMETI Busway project, the planners quietly removed the Panmure sign from the final 2018 plans for the new intersection at the request of the Kaitiaki Forum Project Control Group, which has commissioned its own gateway artwork for the intersection.

It is now possible that, after years of promises of public consultation about the refurbishment and relocation of the Panmure sign, the fate of the sign may simply be the scrapheap.
