New Rental
Greetings to any large-hearted landlords / property owners! The Sri Chinmoy Meditation Centre - which offers year round free courses in meditation and has ongoing humanitarian aid projects - is seeking new premises to rent/lease in the central Auckland suburbs. Providing one of Auckland's most popular community spaces, the Centre has taught over 35,000 Aucklanders the art of meditation through its free programs, and also responds to aid projects for children throughout the South Pacific. We'd love to hear from any property owners who would like to discuss rental possibilities. We need about 250 sq m2 or more of space, preferably from Onehunga northwards, to accomodate our public classes and community w/shops .
Our organisation is a non-profit registered Charitable Trust and entirely staffed and funded by volunteers. We're happy to renovate any potential property and would like to additionally have a ground floor retail space to look at opening a small food enterprise. (We opened and ran the Blue Bird vege cafe on Dominion Rd for 22 years). We've excellent references and treat our rental space with great respect and care. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
