
No more tsunami sirens
Kia ora neighbours, tsunami sirens are being disestablished from Dec 1, with the Emergency Mobile Alert now notifying the public about dangerous tsunami threats.
Sirens deactivated are in Point Wells, Whangateau and Omaha in the Rodney areas, Hobsonville, Waiwera, Herald Island, and Bethells / Te Henga, Piha, Karekare, Whatipū, Huia and Te Atatū in west Akl.
