Spinning records for 24 hours on East FM

Phil from Farm Cove

At East FM, we love music and tracks recorded and pressed on vinyl records. So much so, that we're joining Vinylthon, a worldwide event on April 20-21, when radio stations around the world broadcast the playing of music on vinyl, for 24 massive record-spinning hours! Midday to midday.
The schedule of DJs is confirmed and they're all carefully organising what to play on the two turntables we'll be alternating between, just like in the olden days.
We understand we're one of only two radio stations in New Zealand participating in Vinylthon. A big thank-you to our Matt "Beagle" Everitt for his leadership on this project.

East FM is East Auckland’s fair-dinkum community-powered public service radio station, on 88.1FM and 107.1FM on local frequencies, nationally and globally at www.eastfm.nz... and on app iHeart Radio. - PJ

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Reserve Bank has shared some pretty blunt advice: there’s no such thing as a “safe” job anymore 🛟😑

Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.

We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

Poll: Should complete designs be shared with the public, or should the community help shape the designs from the start?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Post recently shared an opinion piece on the Harbour Crossing and why a more democratic approach might be needed 🚗🚲👟

While most decisions sit within the political arena, many organisations—like NZTA—manage long-term projects that go beyond party lines. Politics can sometimes disrupt progress, and the next Harbour Crossing is a big decision that will affect all Aucklanders.

We’d love your thoughts: Should near-complete, shovel-ready designs be shared with the public, or should the community have a hand in shaping the designs from the start?

The Riddler from The Neighbourly Riddler

Make a hearty dish. Take just half a minute. Add four parts of kestrel. Then just add one. What have you made?
