The efforts of people in the East Auckland community have been recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours. The people who received honours over the weekend included; John Roy-Woljciechowski, Ray Haffenden, Graeme Steel, Hamish Crooks, Fraser Faulknor and Gair McRae.
Ninety-six artists and 607 artworks will be on display at the upcoming Macleans College First XI hockey girls' art exhibition. The annual East Auckland event is at Macleans College's Batten House on June 10-11 from 9am to 4pm, with entry $5.
