We can no longer work effectively from one location.
Auckland’s population growth shows no sign of a slow-down, meaning more animals that need us. Already we’re struggling to keep up with the volume of injured, neglected and abused animals across an area that stretches from Port Waikato to Wellsford.
So we’re building a second site in Hobsonville. This will future-proof the SPCA Auckland and ensure we can deliver the best care possible to Auckland’s animals in need.
Right now our Inspectors need to travel longer each day as the city’s population spreads further and further. Each journey they make takes significantly more time than it used to due to traffic. A Centre in North Auckland means they can be there in an animal emergency much faster.
It also means we’ll be closer to so many more Aucklanders and give more people the opportunity to give an SPCA animal a forever home, or provide a temporary foster home.
To build this Centre, we must raise $1.5 million over the next 12 months. And we desperately need your help.
Will you help us help Auckland’s animals? Head to www.spcaauckland.org.nz... to donate.
