Help shape Emily Place - Creating Safer Streets
A groovy and highly residential square in the city centre - but dominated by thru traffic and parking. Want to help improve the public amenity of Emily Place?
A new pilot project 'Creating Safer Streets – Emily Place’ is beginning soon.
It uses tactical urbanism to test ways to improve the public amenity of the area by reducing traffic hazards and addressing security concerns.
And the pilot will test different layout solutions and placemaking activities to improve the area and inform the future permanent upgrade of Emily Place in 2024. The final design will be determined by the co-design process, but interventions could include ground graphics, art installations, place kit, road layout changes and lighting.
This workshop is a public event but has limited spaces so please RSVP here to hold your place: www.acommunity.nz...
