MetService has advised there is a high risk of thunderstorms bringing heavy rain and strong winds for the Auckland Region tomorrow morning and late evening.
With soils already fully saturated there is chance of localised flooding and slips. Check to ensure drains are clear. Strong wind gusts may cause structural damage, including trees and power lines.
Please drive to the conditions and take care on the roads especially in slip prone areas.

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
