Road Closure
Hello everyone and Seasons' Greetings. A lamp-post in leaning well over the road on Tarawera Terrace, St Heliers, so through traffic is now prohibited. The lamp- post is on one's left and about outside number 16 Tarawera Terrace if you are coming from Long Drive. The only traffic now allowed is if you live near by in Tarawera Terrace. Cars coming from Grampian Road are being re-directed. Sorry, I don't have any more details about the length of time this may be but hope this helps if you have plans to drive up Tarawera Terrace. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
