Summerset Retirement Village

George from Meadowbank

Dealing with Summerset Retirement village on Ripon and St Johns.

I have requested and read the environment court decision. Summerset was required to supply off street parking for its workers. It also stated it will recommend to new residence that St Johns Road is the main point of entry and exit.
There is no traffic impact report on Rippon Rutherford Worchester or Gowing. Council have said they will monitor after the retirement village opens.

I said that ridiculous 300 plus units it going to be manic. Visitors will find it easy to park Rippon Worchester than busy main road and residents will use Rippon more than st Johns.
In all the marketing by Summerset there is no mention of having to use St Johns to come and Go. I think I will be a disaster…

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
