Vision Kāpiti | Paekākāriki and Waikanae drop-in sessions
Calling all Paekākāriki and Waikanae residents – our community boards have been collaborating with their communities on the Vision Kāpiti project, developing draft local visions based on your input. We've reviewed your initial feedback and identified key themes reflecting your local community's needs and aspirations, but we want you to let us know if we’ve got it right.
Come along to your community board’s workshop or drop-in sessions to hear more and share your thoughts:
? Paekākāriki – Wednesday 15 May, 7–8.30pm, St Peter's Village Hall
? Waikanae – Tuesday 21 May, 5–7pm, Waikanae Community Centre, 28 Utauta Street, Waikanae.
And there's going to be pop-up engagement hubs at all of our libraries in June.
Does what we’ve heard so far reflect what’s important to you? Is anything missing? Come along and help us land a future vision for Kāpiti, together. To find out more, visit haveyoursay.kapiticoast.govt.nz...
Poll: 🤖 What skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?
The Reserve Bank has shared some pretty blunt advice: there’s no such thing as a “safe” job anymore 🛟😑
Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.
We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

Missing cat - Kohekohe Road Waikanae
Our much loved cat Sasha is missing from 37 Kohekohe Road since last night. We believe he may have been hit by a car sometime last night - a tradesman saw a dead cat in the gutter a door or two away at 8:30 this morning but the body had disappeared quarter of an hour later. Has someone perhaps removed the body for some reason? We simply would like to know for certain whether or not that cat was Sasha. If anyone has any information please get in touch - ph 2988304
