Hey neighbors, our sister stream needs some support to protect the biodiversity and the trees by dealing to invasive plant species. Did you know we only have 8% canopy cover here in Māngere? Trees provide habitats, food and oxygen for all life so they're pretty important. Te Ararata has some great trees new and old to provide these benefits to our community and they need help to thrive. Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
